"Notes on Home" - Thais Jacomassi

Thais Jacomassi is a sophomore Writing, Literature, and Publishing student at Emerson College. She has won awards for her short fiction stories and has had her poetry published in various literary magazines across the country.

’Notes on Home’ is a coming to terms. It’s a coming of age story about self-value and our attempts at finding that value in places outside of ourselves. After 20 years, what I’ve realized and what I’ve tried to put onto the page is that there is destination and there is no final sense of belonging waiting beyond the horizon. We already belong. No matter where we are.
